Over 150 finance leaders from a variety of the region’s major industries gathered for the second annual The CFO Middle East Awards.
Held on 29th January 2017 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, JBR, the event celebrated organisations and individuals who have showed outstanding performance and leadership in the field of finance across industry sectors like healthcare, education, hospitality, transport and government among others.
The awards ceremony kicked-off with a welcome speech from CPI Media Group Technology and Finance Editor James Dartnell. During his welcome address, he mentioned that the chief financial officer’s role has always been crucial in shaping the economic climate of the region. “The work that finance leaders do for any business is not only invaluable, but now more important than ever. CFOs have become a foremost business partner to the summit of the organisation – the CEO. These individuals’ attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the business is what keeps organisations move forward.”
